It is a campsite on the banks of river Reli near Kalimpong. Most tourist destinations in the hill around high mountains with a wide view. Few destinations are inside the valley, though the valley has a different attractions on its own. Bidhyang is a tourist destination on a river valley. The small river stream and the 50-meter wide river valley provide attractions of a different nature.
Bidhyang is not a sightseeing hotspot but a destination for different activities that the visitor can engage in and enjoy. The footbridge over the river is a nice place to enjoy yourself. You can take a walk up or down the river valley and soon get lost in an area bereft of human habitation. The area is covered on all sides with green forests rich in flora and fauna.
The hills on both sides of the Reli river have small villages all around. One may decide to hike for a little while to reach the nearby villages where agriculture is the primary occupation. Step cultivation is common here, the paddy fields in the hills mostly use organic fertiliser and produce multiple crops.
Getting There
Travelling to a hidden gem like Bidyang is a lot of fun. You will be travelling through unknown and rarely used roads and villages where some people have never been to the cities. You will be crossing the lush green forests on both sides of the zigzag road. NJP station is the nearest station & Bagdogra is the nearest airport. If you are not using an exclusive vehicle, you have to first travel to Kalimpong and then find a local vehicle to take you to Bidhyang which is about 16-17 Km from town. There are two different routes to reach here. Depending on the present road condition, the driver may take you through a route which may not necessarily be the shortest.

A major part of the Bidhyang valley is covered with agricultural land with green crops which you may find worthwhile to just stroll around, you may also interact with the local people who are quite friendly.
Tourists can have a picnic near the River Reli with their group, kids especially find it exciting, since they witness the river, mountains, and forest closely.
There is a wooden Hanging bridge in Bidhyang that is a famous tourist attraction. People spend time walking through the bridge, enjoying the green nature surrounding it.
Kalimpong day excursion:- Tourists can do a day trip to Kalimpong from Bidhyang, it's just approximately 16 km one way. Delo ViewPoint, Kalimpong Science centre, Pine tree nursery etc are some of the best places to visit in Kalimpong.
This place is rich in flora & fauna. It's a paradise for birds-loving tourists, there are also different species of colourful butterflies, Pine trees, and oaks are some of the trees surrounding the forest.
