Best time to visit
You may go for this tour anytime during the year. During the monsoon months (July-August), there can be occasional landslides leading to the blockage of some roads. You should carry an umbrella anytime during the year and light to heavy woollens depending upon the season of your travel. The mountains are not very high in altitude and the temperature during the winter months does not get to freezing levels. Summer months are also comfortable as the temperature in the Dooars rarely crosses 30 (Celsius).
You start your tour at Rishyap and Lolegaon, two of the best offbeat destinations of the Kalimpong hills. Then you would come down to Dooars and spend 2 nights at Gorumara National Park and the last night at Jaldapara Wild Life Sanctuary.
