The road from Darjeeling to Kalimpong takes a turn at Jorebungalow and continues a downhill drive over the next 27 km through a ridge that is one of the most fascinating drives in the eastern Himalayas. This is Peshok road for you, and Peshok is the village towards the end of the ridge where a steep downward spiralling road will take you straight to Teesta Bazar.
Peshok is a picturesque serene place in the hills of Darjeeling, away from the tourist hubs, plunge into nature where the Tea estates, Tea villages, Snow-capped mountains, birds & butterflies, and loving people have all come together in wonderful harmony. On a clear day, one can have a panoramic view of Mount Kanchenjunga from the entire stretch of Peshok road. Peshok village will also offer you a view of the ‘Char-Dham’ temple of Namchi and Kalimpong town. Peshok, known for its captivating beauty and sprawling tea estates is gaining popularity among offbeat tourism lovers.

Tea Garden Walk - Walking through the rolling Peshok Tea Gardens, watching tea plucking by the garden workers, and chatting with them is a great experience.
Village Hike –One can explore the village by walking to understand locals & village life more intimately.
Peshok Waterfall – A beautiful waterfall situated at the boundary of Peshok and Lopchu (another Tea Estate)at a walking distance of 1 and ½ hours (one way) through dense forest. Not recommended for physically unfit people as the walk is through rugged terrain.
Lovers Viewpoint – River Teesta and Rangit after originating in the Lachung Hills of Sikkim, descend and meets again after 100 kilometres of separation and the union is called Lover's point.
Orange Orchards - One can visit the famous Orange Orchards which provide freshly prepared orange juice, marmalades and pickles.
Day Visit to Lamahatta, Takdah and Tinchulay – One can go for a day visit to Lamahatta and Lamahatta eco-park - An ideal place to relax and be in nature from where one can perceive the snow peaks of Kanchenjunga, Tiger Hill, river Teesta and Rangit.Also can go to Orchid Centre at Takdah and Tinchulay, Tinchulay Viewpoint, and Tinchuley monastery where a Lama meditated for 17 years.
River-based activity - River-based activity on the cool and pristine waters of the Teesta / Rangeet which is 15 kilometres away is an excellent source of enjoyment for visitors.

Both the destination Bagdogra and NJP is 75 kilometres (3 hours) drive to Lamahatta through some wonderful tea gardens, hilly landscapes, and small Darjeeling towns and villages.
