north-bengal.com is a website designed and managed by Hamro Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., a tour operator in North East India. We work under the HUMRO TOURS brand which is a registered trademark. HUMRO TOURS currently serves tourists in the entire North East of India. We are one of the largest tour operators for North East India. about us
Is it a web-based company?
HUMRO TOURS is very much a ground-level tour operator. We are not a web-based company, we are also not a travel agent. We are the tour operator who actually provides ground support when you travel.
How are HUMRO TOURS different?
HUMRO TOURS is not known to follow stringent customer care norms, rather we have developed a culture where the team members are in love with the travel profession. As a visitor, you are not our customer, but our guest. We take you personally and no wonder we develop a relationship that lasts beyond the tour.
We only operate in the region where we can serve our guests directly. Hence we only concentrate in North East India where we have our own infrastructure. This puts us at an advantage compared to city-based agents who operate by subcontracting.
We do not assure you hassle-free travel since some of the practicalities of a tour are environmental and beyond human control, but we assure you that we will always go the extra mile to solve any problem that might occur during a tour.

What infrastructure do you have?
Our infrastructure includes our own car, tents, mountain bikes, camping and mountaineering equipment etc. Our office in Siliguri is well equipped with computers, 24 hours internet, telephone, fax etc. At present we are developing several resorts in exotic destinations of north Bengal with special emphasis on eco-tourism. All the projects are in collaboration with local people who would be the ultimate beneficiary of these projects. The most important resource for HUMRO TOURS is a thorough knowledge of the region and very good ground-level contact.
I do not want a packaged tour. Can I simply book the hotels through you?
Although we can provide you with customised tour packages as per your requirement, it is not necessary for you to take an all-inclusive package tour to travel with HUMRO TOURS. You can take any service (or part service) that you want.
How can we be assured of quality service?
As much as 40% of our guests visit us through references. This shows our commitment to quality of service.
I am not interested in a leisure tour. Can you serve my specific interests?
Apart from leisure tours, HUMRO TOURS also organizes Adventure tours, Jungle tours, Ethnic tours, Eco tours, Buddhist tours, Heritage tours etc. Please tell us your area of interest and we will let you know what we can do for you.
I am visiting the region alone. Can you arrange a tour for me?
We can and we do. There are certain restrictions, especially in Sikkim and Bhutan, on travelling alone foreigners. Except for those places, we do provide service to individuals. Even if you are the 'lonely planet' type, that shouldn't stop you from taking our service. What we do not do is attach an individual tourist with other tourists or groups.
Can I get an English-speaking guide?
HUMRO TOURS provides English-speaking guides to assist you in your tour. Our guides are professionally trained and have excellent knowledge of the region.
How can I make payment for the service I take?
Our Banker is HDFC bank. Besides we also take payment through Cards, UPI or cash. International travellers can also pay us using Paypal. For further details about payment please contact our office.
